Speaking at an Assembly Seminar in Sarajevo, President Paolo Alli strongly condemned yesterday’s terrorist attack in London. “This attack will not strengthen the terrorists’ misguided cause. On the contrary. It will strengthen our resolve to work together to defeat terrorism. Many of our nations have been victims of dreadful acts of terrorism. None of them will yield to it.

Brussels, 20 March 2017 - The Sub-Committee on NATO Partnerships, led by Chairman Karl A. Lamers (Germany), visited Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia from 13 to 17 March 2017. Main items on the agenda were regional security challenges and the implementation of the decisions made at the 2016 Warsaw Summit. The delegation comprised 20 Parliamentarians from 12 NATO member countries and three associate delegations to the NATO PA and met with senior government officials as well as Parliamentarians and independent experts.

Sarajevo, 20 March 2017 – A meeting of legislators from NATO member and partner countries is set to open in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on Tuesday 21 March. The three-day meeting will discuss prospects for EU and NATO enlargement in the Western Balkans, intra-regional relations and internal political developments in the context of challenges coming from the unstable Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The event is organised by the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (NATO PA) in cooperation with the parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina and with the generous support of the Swiss Government.

Brussels, 27 January 2017 – The Defence and Security Committee (DSC) at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly kicked off its working year with a visit to Washington, D.C. from 20-23 January. This year the annual transatlantic parliamentary visit was scheduled around the inauguration of President Donald J. Trump. The group’s visit provided a timely opportunity for European and Canadian lawmakers to seek their US counterparts’ views about the new administration’s priorities for transatlantic defence.
