19 December 2006 - NATO PA PRESIDENT CONDEMNS TEHRAN CONFERENCE

Mr. Koenders rejects any politically or racially motivated attempts to deny or question the historical facts of the Holocaust.  Our memory of the Holocaust must remain as a permanent warning to consciences everywhere to respect the legitimate rights of all peoples, and to work for the expansion of peace, prosperity and the establishment of international rule-of-law.

The President of the NATO PA urges the Iranian government to refrain from organising such events and instead to strengthen its fight against racism, xenophobia and anti-Semitism and to eliminate all forms of discrimination and other human rights violations.
