The NATO Parliamentary Assembly’s 57th Annual Session will start on Friday 7 October in the Palace of Parliament in Bucharest.

The Head of the Romanian Delegation to the NATO PA, Sever Voinescu-COTOI, the President of the NATO PA, Dr Karl A. LAMERS, and the NATO PA Secretary General, David HOBBS, will greet the press during a press briefing at 11:00 in Sala Spiru Haret.

At 17:30 the President of the Senate, Mircea GEOANÃ and the President of the NATO PA will make a press stop in Level P1, Wing A1 (Senate), in front of the President’s Office.

During Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 October, the Assembly’s Committees will meet to discuss and adopt the Committee reports and policy recommendations and will be briefed by prestigious Romanian officials and international experts such as:

The Assembly Session will culminate on Monday at its plenary sitting, which will be addressed, in order of appearance by Dr Karl A. LAMERS, President of the NATO PA, Mircea Dan GEOANÃ, President of the Senate of Romania, Roberta ANASTASE, President of the Chamber of Deputies of Romania, Traian BÃSESCU, President of Romania, Anders Fogh RASMUSSEN, NATO Secretary General, Samira HAMIDI, Afghanistan Country Director, Afghan Women's Network and Major General Karl ENGELBREKTSON, Swedish Military Representative to the EU and NATO.
