The President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (NATO PA), Hon Doug Bereuter (United States) together with Secretary General, Mr. Simon Lunn, will be making a Presidential visit to Bratislava, Slovakia from 20 to 21 February. |

The main purpose of the visit is to assess progress being made in Slovakia’s preparations for NATO accession. During the visit, Mr Bereuter will meet President Rudolf Schuster; Vice Prime Minister Daniel Lipsic; Parliament Chairman Pavol Hrusovsky; Defense Minister Ivan Simko; Foreign Ministry State Secretary Ivan Korcok; the leader of the Slovakian parliament’s delegation to the Assembly, Jozef Banas; members of the Slovak delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly; and members of the parliamentary Committees on Foreign Affairs and Defence and Security. |
