23 June 2008 - KOSOVO, SERBIA TOP AGENDA OF NATO PARLIAMENTARIANS’ SEMINAR IN MONTENEGRO

Legislators from NATO and partner countries will gather to discuss Balkan security and political issues on the occasion of the 69th Rose-Roth seminar in Sveti Stefan, Montenegro. The meeting, gathering some 40 members of parliament together with representatives of governments, international organizations and academia, is organized in cooperation with the Parliament of Montenegro and with the support of the Center for European Studies and the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence at the University of Florida, as well as NATO Public Diplomacy Division. |

Pieter Feith, International Civil Representative and EU Special Representative in Kosovo, will participate in the discussions on the future of Kosovo and Serbia, together with Zenun Pajaziti, Minister of Interior of the government in Pristina, Antonio Missiroli of the European Policy Centre and General Fabio Mini, former KFOR commander. Milan Rocen and Boro Vucinic, respectively Montenegro’s Foreign and Defence Ministers, will discuss their country’s efforts to integrate into Euro-atlantic structures. Ana Trisic Babic, Deputy Foreign Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina, will present the latest developments in her country. Considerable time will be devoted during this seminar to the problems of governance and institution building, as well as the role of civil society in the Balkans.
