In a statement made today, Dr. Karl A. Lamers, President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly said, “I condemn in the strongest terms possible the brutal terrorist attack that occurred today in Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport.

This vicious and indiscriminate assault is the very definition of terrorism. I am sure that all the members of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly will join me in sending our sincere condolences to the families of all those who lost their lives, and our sympathy to those who were injured.

“Those who did this are under the mistaken impression that their acts will somehow weaken international resolve to defeat terrorism,” said Dr. Lamers.  “They could not be more wrong.  This outrage only strengthens our determination to work together to end the scourge of international terrorism.”
