Developments in NATO's Initiatives launched at the 2004 Istanbul Summit: the Enhancement of the 10-year Mediterranean Dialogue and the launching of the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative reaching out to the broader Middle East region, will be at the centre of a seminar organised in Jordan by the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, in co-operation with the Jordanian parliament and the NATO Division of Public Diplomacy, on 5 and 6 May 2005.

The international seminar: "Recent Development and New Political Perspectives in the Broader Middle East Region", will take place on the Dead Sea following a two day visit by NATO parliamentarians to Amman.

Over 40 members of Parliament, including from NATO MD countries: Algeria, Morocco, Mauritania, Tunisia, Jordan, Egypt and Israel, as well as representatives of Cyprus and of the Palestinian Legislative Council will join the discussions in the Seminar.
