Coordinator, Defence and Security Committee

Supports the work of the Committee Director and other departments of the International Secretariat as appropriate.
Manages the participation to the Committee activities and is the main point of contact for all logistical, operational, and administrative matters related to this committee (visits, meetings, Sessions, and other committee events).

Handles, updates, edits, and distributes committee documents in close cooperation with Document Service.
On a rotation basis, coordinates participation and other logistical matters for other NATO PA activities, i.e. Rose-Roth Seminars, Joint Committee Meetings, Parliamentary Transatlantic Forum and other activities.

Officer, Mediterranean Activities

Supports the development and implementation of the Group’s activities and priorities.

Supports development of relations with Mediterranean and Middle East partners

Responsible for all logistical, administrative, operational, organisational & communication aspects of the GSM Seminars and visits (programme, speaker invitations, venue, hotel, budget, interpretation, participation etc

Link between the Assembly, the host Parliament, participants, speakers for all logistical, administration and operational issues.

Biography

Matthew Jablonski joined the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in 2022 and currently serves as the Officer for the Mediterranean and Middle East Special Group (GSM). 

Prior to joining the Assembly, Matthew was an Associate in the Policy & Humanitarian Diplomacy Section at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), covering Europe and Central Asia. From 2018-2019, he worked within the Political Section of Disarmament and Non-Proliferation at the EU Delgation to the UN in Geneva. 

Matthew is also a member of the Younger Generation Leaders Network on Euro-Atlantic Security (YGLN) and was recognised as a New Security Leader by the Warsaw Security Forum and Casimir Pulaski Foundation in 2024. 

He holds an MA in European Affairs from Sciences Po Paris.
