Assembly President Hon. Michael Turner has strongly condemned the terrorist outrage in Nice during France’s Bastille Day celebrations

Washington/Brussels, 15 July 2016 - “Last night’s horrific attack against innocent people celebrating Bastille Day in Nice represents an assault on our shared civilizational values”, said Mr Turner. “Such outrages, however, only reinforce our sense of solidarity and collective resolve to defend those values.”

Speaking on behalf of the members of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Mr Turner also expressed his “deepest sympathies and condolences to the French people as well as the families and friends of those whom have lost their lives or suffered injuries in these senseless attacks.”
