NATO PA President condemns Manchester suicide attack

Brussels/Rome, 23 May 2017 – “Last night’s horrific and cowardly suicide terrorist attack at the Manchester Arena deliberately targeting mostly young concert-goers is a sickening crime.

I am heartbroken for all the innocent people struck by this barbaric act. My thoughts go first to the relatives and friends of the victims and to all those who were injured. On behalf of the members of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, I would like to express both our deepest condolences to the British people and our full solidarity with British authorities. Our nations and people stand as one against senseless terrorist violence. We will always respond to terror with resolve, guided by an unwavering commitment to defending our values and our way of life.”
