Brussels/Rome, 11 December 2016 - “I strongly condemn yesterday’s terrorist outrage in Istanbul. There can be no justification or excuse for indiscriminate acts of terror and such callous disregard for human life”, declared Mr Paolo Alli, President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.

Such acts serve only to strengthen international resolve to uphold our democratic values and defeat the scourge of international terrorism.“Just a few weeks ago, Turkey hosted the Assembly’s Annual Session in Istanbul and I am sure that all our members join me in expressing solidarity with the Turkish people and extending our deepest sympathy to the families and friends of the victims of this horrific attack.
