Brussels/Rome, 17 August 2017 – “Barcelona suffered a horrific terrorist attack tonight. Our thoughts are first and foremost with the victims, the injured, their relatives and friends. All members of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly stand with the people of Barcelona and of Spain in mourning and solidarity. We condemn this outrage in the strongest terms.
Terrorists target innocent women, men and children. They have no regard whatsoever for human life. The duty of all civilised nations is to join forces in combatting terrorism in all its manifestations, and protecting and defending the fundamental values which define us as societies. Our nations are strong and united, and no terrorist attack will diminish our resolve.”
