Biography

Professor of Public International Law and International Relations at University Carlos III (Madrid). Director of the UNESCO/UC3M Chair on Public Freedoms and Civic Values. Currently on situation of special services at the Council of State, as Director of the Cabinet of the Presidency.

Since October 2012, Project Director at the Women for Africa Foundation and Director of the Women, Peace and Security Program, leading and managing projects focused on gender, leadership, human rights and peace and security in various African countries (Mali, Kenya, Ghana, Central African Republic, Tanzania, Sudan...). Since January 2019, she leads the Women's Alliance for Peace program, a joint initiative of Women for Africa Foundation and the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations.

2020-2022, member of the NATO Civil Society Advisory Panel, representing Women for Africa Foundation.

Director of the Peacebuilding Program at CITpax (2008/2009).

PhD in Law, Master in European Union Law and Diploma in Higher National Defense Studies. Extraordinary Doctorate Award and Prize of the Royal Academy of Doctors for the best doctoral thesis in the area of social and legal sciences. Excellence Award of the University Carlos III of Madrid for his research career (2011).research career (2011).
