Biography

Nicola Caré has been a member of the Chamber of Deputies since 2018, representing the Democratic Party for the overseas constituency (Africa, Asia, Oceania and the Antarctic). He is a member of the Defence Committee. He has been a member of the Italian Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly since 2023; he is a member of the Defence and Security Committee and Vice Chairperson of the Sub-Committee on Future Security and Defence Capabilities. He served as the Secretary General of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Melbourne (1994-1998) and from 1999 of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Sydney; he was a publisher and founded the quarterly magazine Voi Tutti (2005-2010); he was the Chairman of NuSep, a biotechnology company listed in the United States and Australia (2005-2010), and a member of the Board of Directors of SBS Television (2007-2010). He was the Representative of the Secretaries General of the Chambers of Commerce on the Board of Directors of “Assocamerestero”. Caré was born in Guardavalle (Catanzaro) on 31 July 1960.
