Biography

Simona Flavia Malpezzi has been a member of the Italian Parliament for the Democratic Party since 2013, first in the Chamber of Deputies and in the following two terms in the Senate of the Republic. She was Group Leader in the Senate. She is a member of the Committee on European Union Policies, the Committee on the Library and Historical Archives, and the Special Committee on Combating Intolerance, Racism, Anti-Semitism and Incitement to Hatred and Violence. She has been a member of the Italian delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly since 2023. She is a member of the Political Committee and Vice Chairperson of the Sub-Committee on Transatlantic Relations. Malpezzi was Undersecretary of State for Relations with Parliament in the Conte II and Draghi governments. Simona Flavia Malpezzi was born on 22 August 1972 in Cernusco sul Naviglio, Milan. She graduated in Modern Literature and is a teacher.
