Biography

Tim Webb joined the Ministry of Defence of the United Kingdom in 1998, embarking on an Electronic Technician Apprenticeship, subsequently progressing to read Electronic, Control & Systems Engineering at Sheffield University. Graduating in 1995, he commenced his career with the MoD as a professional project manager.

Following various assignments he was appointed as the Programme Manager for the Support Vehicle project in August 2005, leading a team to deliver a complex (7200 vehicles with 42 variants and through life budget in excess of £3.7Bn) multinational programme. Promotion to OF5 in 2007 saw the added responsibility for the portfolio of General Support Vehicles.

Looking to expand his experience Tim benefitted from a secondment with BAE Systems in 2008 to help the Management Board more deeply understand a partnering philosophy to the customer/supplier relationship, taking lessons learned back to the MoD in 2009 to establish the Programme Management Office responsible for the through life capability management of all projects within the realm of the Special Forces (SF), Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) protection and Countering Terrorism.

In August 2011 Tim represented the UK as the Civil Servant selected to attend the NATO Senior Officers Course at the NATO Defence College in Rome. Following completion of this course and a short time back with the UK MoD Tim was successfully appointed as the Head of the Capability Delivery Section in the Defence Investment Division of the NATO International Staff in Brussels.
